Introduction to Islamic Transactions

In the fast paced life that we live, there are so many transactions we take part in on a daily basis, many of these being financial. Knowing what is permissible or impermissible sometimes becomes difficult and hard to distinguish. Join us on the 4th January 2020 as we explore the ever changing world of financial transactions and how we as Muslims living in the 21st century should approach and engage with them.

This course aims to equip the student with the relevant tools required to help distinguish between Halal (permissible), Haram (impermissible) and what may be doubtful or questionable.

Learning Outcomes

• Understand the wisdom upon which the laws of transactions in Islam are built upon
• Develop an ability to recognise questionable matters in modern day transactions
• Understand the key prohibitions in Islamic Law in relation to trade along with their evidences
• Learn key principles to apply to emerging financial opportunities
